چکیده

Abstract Disperse Orange 1, colour index 11080, is an azo dye. Collectively, dyes are a common cause of textile-related allergic contact dermatitis (ACD). A 2006 European Union (EU) directive restricts the sale any articles or dyed items that have direct and prolonged with skin oral cavity contain more than 30-ppm dyes. These include wide range such clothing, bedding, furniture, toys yarn. Despite clear regulation set out by directive, these been detected within garments produced sold EU (https://echa.europa.eu/regulations/reach/legislation). In our cutaneous allergy clinic, we patch tested total 547 patients to clothing dye series. Only seven (1.3%) positive 1. We present series cases highlight suspected sources exposure. identified patients, four whom were male. Their ages ranged between 20 78 years. Aside from all developed test results other disperse Three also reacted paraphenylenediamine. Sites affected included head neck (n = 4), hands 2), chest 1) leg 1). Other fragrances, metals, rubber, acrylates local anaesthetics. Suspected 1 hair dyes, wound dressings thyroid shield. Few ACD published on One report noted textile necklace as source severe localized (Nygaard U, Kralund HH, Sommerlund M. Allergic induced necklace. Case Rep Dermatol 2013; 5:336–9). wish raise awareness presence problems despite directive. Members should consider variety sources, including traditional newer shields, in cases.

Late patch test reaction to Disperse Orange 1 not related to active sensitization.

One of the most important adverse consequences of patch testing is active sensitization, when subjects previously not allergic become sensitized to one or more of the test chemicals by the test procedure. The allergic test reaction then shows up about 10 or more days (late reaction) after the test application. Sometimes, however, late reactions are seen without active sensitization being presen...

Mechanisms of reversible photodegradation in disperse orange 11 dye doped in PMMA polymer.

We use amplified spontaneous emission (ASE) and linear absorption spectroscopy to study the mechanisms of reversible photodegradation of 1-amino-2-methylanthraquinone (disperse orange 11-DO11) in solid poly(methyl methacrylate). Measurements as a function of intensity, concentration, and time suggest that ASE originates in a state (be it a tautomer or a vibronic level) that can form a dimer or ...

Random Lasing and Reversible Photodegradation in Disperse Orange 11 Dye-Doped PMMA with Dispersed ZrO2 Nanoparticles

We report the observation of intensity feedback random lasing at 645 nm in Disperse Orange 11 dye-doped PMMA (DO11/PMMA) with dispersed ZrO2 nanoparticles (NPs). The lasing threshold is found to increase with concentration, with the lasing threshold for 0.1 wt% being 75.8 ± 9.4 MW/cm and the lasing threshold for 0.5 wt% being 121.1 ± 2.1 MW/cm, with the linewidth for both concentrations found t...

Sensitizing capacity of Disperse Orange 1 and its potential metabolites from azo reduction and their cross-reactivity pattern.

BACKGROUND Simultaneous contact allergies to Disperse Orange 1, 4-nitroaniline and p-aminodiphenylamine (PADPA), as well as to other disperse azo dyes and to p-phenylenediamine (PPD), have been reported. Cross-reactivity is one of the possible explanations for simultaneous reactions between PPD and disperse azo dyes. Some metabolites from the azo reduction of these disperse azo dyes could be se...

An Alternative Use of Olive Pomace as a Wide-Ranging Bioremediation Strategy to Adsorb and Recover Disperse Orange and Disperse Red Industrial Dyes from Wastewater

In this paper, industrial dyes, Disperse Red and Disperse Orange, were studied as model pollutants to show the excellent performance of olive pomace (OP) in sequestering and recovering these dangerous dyes from wastewater. The nature of interactions involved between dyes and OP were inferred by changing several parameters: contact time, pomace dosage, pH and temperature values. Visible spectros...
